Since it's Valentines day, who doesn't love a conversation heart? I created these conversation heart cookies packaged perfectly in a mason jar that is a great gift for kids, teachers, or that significant other that is impossible to buy for!

I am also excited to introduce chocolate cookies just in time for Valentines day!! These can be decorated in any color or shape. They are just as good as my sugar cookies, just with extra chocolate goodness!

Georgia's Baby Shower

I was so lucky to be able to participate in honoring my best friend and her new bundle of joy arriving any day now. My mom and I met in Atlanta and took a road trip to North Carolina to prepare for the shower. It was a whirlwind trip, but it was so nice to catch up with Georgia and my second family.

The decor could not have been any cuter. One of the hostesses, Maureen, had all the decorations perfectly planned and the party went off without a hitch!

Mistletoe Market 2012

I have been so busy the past few months, it is unreal. My mom and I partnered up for a new cookie business and it consumed my nights, weekends, and every spare moment I had for months. We participated in the 2012 Mistletoe Market at the Georgia National Fairgrounds. We made and sold literally thousands of cookies and had the best time seeing old friends and making new ones.

This was our booth and home for three days while we were at the market.

Faegan's Strawberry Party

Faegan was lucky enough to have a celebration for her birthday in Georgia and also in Alabama. Since we were already in Georgia and Ash is about to pop with Baby Bowee Wood, I thought it would be great to have a party at my parent's home that my family could attend.

With 100° plus temps the previous week, I was prepared for it to be a scorcher, but thankfully we had some cloud coverage just in time for the party that made it bearable to eat outside on the porch.

We had a 'Berry' celebration with lots of strawberry food and pink decorations. I wanted to do something that wouldn't be too over the top and I could decorate with decorations that weren't too themed.

I made the invitations using card stock and a strawberry template I made. I thought they turned out cute.

The food was fairly girly and I had some comments from the boys that they were bringing their own food to the party. I had fried chicken, pimento cheese sandwiches, caprese pasta salad, strawberry avocado salsa, and strawberry pretzel salad. I enjoyed everything and I know that John loved the pasta, so I had some boy approval!!

You can't go wrong with anything caprese and the strawberry salsa tasted good but was not the prettiest dish.

I found these cute little cups at Ikea for the strawberry pretzel salad. We decided that we could have just had this and it would have been just fine. My Aunt Cheryl brings this to Christmas every year and we all fight over the leftovers!

My awesome mom made the gorgeous cakes. She did an excellent job and the cakes were just as good as they look.

Of course we couldn't find a candle, so Pooh made an appearance at the party. Faegan was just excited that everyone was singing to her!

I purposely held out on cake until the first birthday so it would be a special treat. She liked the cake but was mostly interested in the decorations on the top. She has always eaten real food with her hands so she didn't dig in to it as I much as I had hoped she would.

We got Faegan a castle slide and she loved it. We eventually had to hide it because she wanted to stay on it all night!
